I want to welcome you to the Victim Services Division of the Cobb County Solicitor General’s website. If you are visiting this page, it is likely you or someone you know has been a victim of a crime. Crime has a tremendous impact on the victim, their families and the community as a whole. Therefore, protecting the rights of crime victims is my top priority as your Solicitor General and the mission of our Victim Services Division.
The Victim Services Division’s aim is to protect the rights of crime victims by bridging the connection with your Prosecutorial Advocate and provide a roadmap through the criminal justice system by providing information, referrals and a contact person for the victim and their family. Addressing the needs of the victim will in turn facilitate the victim’s willingness and ability to cooperate with the Criminal Justice System in the investigation and prosecution of the crime. Not only is the individual crime victim given the assistance they need, but the criminal case against the offender is strengthened and the community is protected.
The Victim Services Division is committed to provide emotional support to crime victims and empower victims of a crime by interrupting the cycle of violence by silencing surrounding violence with the exchange of information and resources. This website has been designed to provide these resources to victims of domestic violence, battery, assault, stalking and bullying by providing several useful links and protective avenues of help.
I want to make sure you have a voice, find information about services the office of the Solicitor General can provide and provide links to victim services personnel as well as other victim service agencies and referral services around the state and nation. With this knowledge and information I hope it will help educate, encourage and empower individuals that have been impacted by crime in the community.
I hope you will make use of these wonderful resources. If there is information you need and cannot find it here, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Thank you for allowing me and my staff the honor of serving you.

Barry E. Morgan, Cobb Solicitor-General
