Probate Court licensing hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (please arrive no later than 4:00 p.m.)

Request certified copies of your marriage license online.

Wedding ceremonies are performed at the Magistrate Court daily at 6:00 p.m. (please arrive no later than 5:30 p.m.)

 

 

Obtaining a Marriage License in Cobb County

Any Georgia resident may apply for a license in any county in Georgia. However, if neither applicant is a resident of Georgia, you may only obtain your license in the county where the ceremony is performed. The license does not have an expiration date.

Applicants under 18 Years of Age

You must be at least 16 years of age in order to obtain a license in Georgia. If you are 16 or 17 years of age, both parents and legal guardians must give their consent in person.
