Bob Weatherford and his family have lived in Cobb County for 19 years. He is active in local charities as one of the cofounders of "Shop with a Hero." He served for 12 years as an Acworth Alderman and Mayor Pro Tem before resigning to run successfully for the Cobb County Commission seat in District One.

Recycling drop off available in District One

Keep Cobb Beautiful partnered with Advanced Disposal Services to provide free recycle drop off spots for residents to bring their recyclables from home. There are now four sites, located at fire stations in various parts of Cobb.

The location for our district is Station 28, 3858 Kemp Ridge Road, Acworth.

Items accepted: mixed paper, plastics (1-7), aluminum, steel cans and flattened cardboard. Glass is not accepted.
