Casteel Road closed through July 31

The Cobb County Department of Transportation (CCDOT) will close Casteel Road from Murdock Road to Oak Lane in Marietta Thursday, May 24, to replace the substandard bridge over Piney Grove Creek (formerly known as Sewell Creek). Motorists should follow the posted detour signs, reduce their speed and exercise caution in the area.

In addition to the bridge replacement, traffic operation improvements will be made to improve flow through the intersection of Casteel Road, Bill Murdock Road and Oak Lane.

This portion of Casteel Road is scheduled to reopen to traffic July 31.
