The Cobb County Water System relocated its Water Quality Laboratory in July 1998. The 10,600 square foot facility houses the laboratory operations, Stream Monitoring Program, Watershed-Stewardship Program, and a 1,600 sq. foot training center equipped with the latest in multimedia equipment.

The lab operates six days a week, testing samples from water reclamation facilities, industrial discharges, surface water, and stormwater runoff. Wastewater treatment analysis from the four reclamation facilities comprises 90 percent of the 90,000 analyses performed by the laboratory each year.
